The Mater Private Hospital Brisbane marks PEHA’s fourth and most recent partnership with the Mater Group. PEHA was pleased to expand its collaboration with the Mater Group by launching operations at the Brisbane Mater ED in March 2025. The Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is a 323-bed facility featuring 10 operating theatres and over 35 specialised clinical services.
The Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Emergency Care Centre (MECC) is equipped to manage a range of non-life-threatening to life-threatening medical conditions.
Access to the MECC is available from the Vulture Street entrance, and a public drop-off zone is available immediately outside the ED. The Mater Hospital offers three multi-story car parks: The Mater Medical Centre Car Park, Hancock Street Car Park and Mater Hill Car Park.

Opened in 2017, Mater Private Hospital - Townsville represents PEHA’s first and longest-standing partnership. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialist services, including Cardiac, Paediatric, and Orthopaedic care.
The Mater Private Hospital Mackay partnered with PEHA in 2019. The hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring six operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton began their partnership with PEHA in 2023. The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is a 136-bed facility that features five operating theatres and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
